Overview
NAD+ Injection is administered under the skin (subcutaneously) using a small insulin needle and syringe that’s included with your prescription. You’ll start at a low dose and gradually increase over time. Your prescriber will determine the right schedule for you.
Where to Inject
Choose an area with a fatty layer of skin. The most common locations are:
- Back of the upper arm
- Abdomen (lower belly area)
- Flank or lower back
Rotate your injection sites each time to help prevent irritation.
Dosing
Your NAD+ formulation contains 200mg/mL. Each 0.1mL injection (10 units on your syringe) delivers 20mg of NAD+.
- Starting dose: 0.1mL (10 units) = 20mg NAD+
- Titrate up as tolerated: 0.25mL (25 units) = 50mg NAD+
- Maintenance dose: 0.5mL (50 units) = 100mg NAD+
- Frequency: 1 to 3 times per week, depending on your protocol
The maximum dose typically prescribed is 50 units (100mg), three times per week. Higher dosing may be available with prescriber approval.
Important: Take TMG with NAD+
AgelessRx recommends supplementing with 1,000mg of TMG (trimethylglycine, also called betaine) on the days you use NAD+. Here’s why:
As your body uses NAD+, it creates waste that needs to be removed using something called methyl groups. When NAD+ levels increase, methyl groups can get used up faster, which may affect other important functions in your body. TMG provides extra methyl donors to support this process.
TMG is available over the counter at most vitamin retailers and on Amazon. No prescription is needed.
Vial Sizes
- 500mg vial (2.5mL): Smaller size, ideal for starting out or lower-frequency use
- 1000mg vial (5mL): Larger size, better value for ongoing use at higher doses
Each vial comes with 20 insulin syringes.
