Overview
NAD+ Patches are generally well-tolerated. The most common side effect is mild skin irritation where the patch is applied.
Common Side Effects
- Skin irritation: Redness, itching, or mild discomfort where the patch was applied. This is the most commonly reported side effect.
Less Common Side Effects
- Fatigue
- Headaches
- Stomach discomfort
- Tingling sensation
How to Manage Skin Irritation
If you notice irritation at your patch site:
- Rotate your application sites: Alternate arms each week, or rotate between arm, abdomen, back, and thigh
- Apply an over-the-counter itch cream, preferably one with hydrocortisone, to calm the area
- Make sure skin is clean and dry before applying a new patch
- Reduce frequency if irritation continues — talk to your prescriber about your options
Who Should Consider Alternative Methods
If you have particularly sensitive skin, you may want to consider an alternative NAD+ delivery method like NAD+ Injection or NAD+ Nasal Spray. Talk to your prescriber about what might work best for you.
